Ballad of the Weeping Spring

Benny Torati's Ballad of the Weeping Spring is opening this weekend in movie theaters all over Israel.  For those who love classical Mizrachi music -- this is a film not to be missed!  The music is by Mark Eliahu, who also appears in the film.  You might remember Benny Torati from his previous film, Desperado Square. Both films are quirky, filled with some comic moments and loaded with nostalgia for an artform that is slowly being lost.  See my review of Ballad of the Weeping Spring that already appeared on this blog! In the U.S., the film is available from Israeli Films.
